One of the primary challenges in the field of electrophysiology (EP) is the collection and aggregation of data from different fields (i.e. images, waveforms etc.) and varying platforms. Not only is the aggregation and organization of this data useful in a clinical environment, data integration is crucial in satisfying government-required meaningful use criteria. Manual entry of information from each data source can be time-consuming and error prone. Mayo Clinic investigators have developed a comprehensive EP reporting system, designed to integrate and incorporate EP data in to one interactive database. This searchable, interactive database provides care providers quick access to data and custom reports. This system is also modifiable, allowing for incorporation of new fields or data elements. The use of this technology can result in improved work flow, optimized data utilization, and the ability to generate meaningful reports.
