"Virtual Audiogram" Software Application for Audiology and Otolaryngology

Technology #2010-167

This invention is a software product (Virtual Audi (gram) that automates the standard audiological report writing process. The application creates a graphic of all audiological tests in the basic comprehensive hearing evaluation and uses a pull down menu interface to create custom, grammatically correct reports. Reports and graphics are formatted for easy import into an electronic medical record. Data can be stored for later retrieval and several innovative decision support algorithms help identify clinically significant test patterns. There is a system for reviewing and modifying reports, and interacting with the EMR. Finally, the software is self learning, so that normal values for different clinics can be developed.
